There is no reason why my grandmothers receipt came to 171.00 for a 79.99 phone from Verizon. I was helping her with the rebate and I am appalled at the ridiculous fees they tack on to everything. These people get paid on commission right?

My grandmother doesn't need Blue Tooth, car phone charger, and VZ navigator activation fee.

Apparently none of this was explained to her. Never asked if she wanted a charger or Blue Tooth. Nothing.

I got a new Verizon phone for the same price a few months ago, and it only totaled 86.00

Obviously my grandmother got taken advantage.

Cell phone providers are evil in general, don't you think?

Tell your granny to learn to say no. Scammers, salespeople, and other partially untrustworthy people rely on old people to be spineless, in order to get what they want. Just pitch it as 'granny, you're not being bad or evil. You're protecting yourself'.

Be nice. While foisting this stuff on an old lady isn't the most right thing to do, they're working in a messed up industry, and didn't implement the policies that lead to quotes and commissions.
