With every team's extra game being at a neutral site.

This would be 16 games at neutral sites per year, it could spread NFL popularity a lot, and keep people from bitching about the loss of a home game.

They should start them on week 1 and go all the way through week 16, leaving the decisive last 2 weeks to the home crowds.

Possible neutral cities:
London
Berlin
Mexico City
Tokyo
Toronto
Las Vegas
Portland
Los Angeles (hell they could play 2 or 3 here)
Oklahoma City
Louisville
Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Salt Lake City
Vancouver
South Bend, Indiana

If you played an NFL game at Azteca, a third of the players would die.

I'm all for reducing the preseason and make the regular season longer.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Mandatory games for all teams at neutral sites is fucking retarded.

Apparently they are talking about an expanded schedule right now (along with moving the Pro Bowl and some spring football BS).

i think they should have 17 weeks, with one bye week per team

that would basically be perfect

almost perfect.

They should replace one of those worthless preseason games with a real game.

Then, perfection.

keep the shit in a watchable time zone

western hemisphere ftw

no farther east than Rome, because it can be a night game there and a 1 pm game here, for those that wish to watch it

Sidney might work. Australian football is a little bit like American football.

China has enough people that enough people would be interested to go at least, but I don't think they are big on organized sports there (Olympic sports there are like team sports here).
South Africa probably wouldn't happen, that place sucks.

I guess Dubai would work.

Sydney is ok if they start the game 11 AM locally

that'd put it at about 8 pm here

Don't screw with the current set up. It works, the players play enough games as it is, and the idea of expanding teams to europe or wherever is rediculous. Do they not make enough money as it is?

players are already beat up enough by the playoffs. 16 games is plenty. flying across the globe is 2 days of no practice and screws with your sleep habits. really if they change anything i'd rather see 2 preseason games instead of 4. preseason football just isn't the same.

Get rid of 4 preseason games, go to 2 preseason, 18 game schedule.

^ Agreed, get rid of a preseaon game or two and add a couple mroe to the season instead.

Also international games will suck because A) will be difficult to watch here and B) travel time and adjustment will suck for the players.

If you want international just keep them to this Side of the Hemisphere.
