ran into a pretty old copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the paper and ink and cover appear in fantastic shape, BUT. those immaculate pages seem to have no adhesive holding them to the binder. if i were to shake it I'm sure it would disintegrate like a copy of cosmo into a billion subscription cards.

Any advice on how to do a reasonable job of repairing it? i'm not talking c-clamps or drills and bolts. Something that may approximate the original binding proceedure

Thanks lover

you just need to get some publishers tape and the problem is solved. Do not use scotch tape or any other type of tape however.

It's not that hard to find. Also, you shouldn't use elmer's glue in your book.

^The guy is trying to give you some advice, why don't you stop being a prick in your own thread (especially considering you're reading a book on a fucking 8th grade reading level and you've already been owned by a search engine in here)

There's no way that Tom Sawyer is on an eighth grade reading level. It's fifth at the highest.

^ If you actually read the original version, it's most definitely at an 8th grade level; there's all sorts of old english, slang, and southern dialect; not to mention the subject matter.

Some appropriate listening music to enjoy while reading this thread and while repairing your books.
