^^ yea make ncsu look really great in the national media

i would be interested in seeing this. apparently anderson cooper is coming to elon in april. which is cool because as a small school, i didn't think they pulled in people like that. although i guess bill clinton came to elon earlier this year. so maybe they do alright.

^ Yeah, after all 3 years of having a law school, not having graduated a single lawyer yet, which isn't even ABA accredited (notwithstanding provisional accreditation) they are widely known as having a good law school.

This is called being a private school with lots of money to throw around.

Elon has a decent MBA program, maybe that's what you were thinking of when you said that.

i was talking about Elon University in general (you know, the one in burlington). NOT the law school. jesus.

sure it happens, but it is even more amazing when every national news channel shows the clip over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER again. we should probably aim for that again.

^you're mistaken, Master_Yoda said "Elon is widely known for its law program." while khcadwal said "i would be interested in seeing this. apparently anderson cooper is coming to elon in april. which is cool because as a small school, i didn't think they pulled in people like that. although i guess bill clinton came to elon earlier this year. so maybe they do alright."

Go NC State for getting a big speaker like Bill! Now just don't embarass yourselves like we here at Miss State apparently did when Colin Powell came for a leadership summit

Agreed.

They brought that sack of shit Phil Donahue in to give my commencement speech back in '02. Needless to say I didn't attend.

Mary Easley's working hard for the money, isn't she?

PS (from 2006):

Bill Clinton's talk isn't cheap
Former president rakes in millions in speaking fees worldwide

Quote :
"Clinton's speaking tour in 2005 included 43 speeches in 14 countries. He began in February and averaged about four speeches a month, usually charging about $150,000 per event. On occasion, the price was much steeper.

On October 18, 2005, for example, he addressed about 8,500 business executives at a 'Power Within' motivational speaking conference in Toronto, Ontario, for a price of $350,000.

The next day he addressed a similar group at a 'Power Within' conference in Calgary, Alberta, for $300,000.

When factoring in his $125,000 fee for remarks to a different business group delivered via video-conference before the Toronto event, the former president's total two-day haul was $775,000.

In comparison, Clinton earned $800,000 during an entire four-year term as president."

not really. It was more embarassing in the "rednecks in the audience continue to shout 'GEORGE W BUSH' in random places throughout the speech" sort of way

fixed it for you, Bill.

I mean, granted, he's a more charming liar than most (and that's what sets him apart), they're all liars.
