Continental, that is.

The only places higher are Alaska and Hawaii. We are 30 cents higher than the national average.

So, anyone want to call their congressman yet?

If all the stations lowered their price to the national average overnight then there would be a massive run on the gas stations, they'd run out, and we'd be right back in this mess. They are doing us all a favor by keeping the prices high.

Plus it's not like the price can dip much further. At least $2.50 of that price is the NC gas tax.

Last week I was in Kentucky...Lexington gas was $2.86 & Louisville was around $3.07 mostly. Got back here Sunday night & see $3.49, the same as when I left
