I've seen a lot of 'drinking game' rules over the last month or so in preparation for the Presidential debates. Most of them are clever and spot-on. The problem is, they are too complicated. I want to watch the debate, listen to the candidates, and drink. I have no desire to continuously work my way through a flow chart to know when I'm supposed to drink, so I have put together this very rudimentary set of 'rules' for drinking during tonight's debate.

1. Drink whenever one candidate disagrees with the other candidate and says so. This can be something like "but what my opponent is not telling you" or "Mr. McCain/Obama, thats simply not true", etc

2. Drink whenever either candidate, or moderator, mentions some type of buzzword. These can be buzzwords associated with the campaigns, like "maverick" or "change" or "main street", or they can simply be buzzwords that have come up in the first two debates. For example if McCain says "my friends"

Please feel free to add to the list but REMEMBER, keep it simple. And this thread isn't intended to be partisan at all, its just intended to make a simpler drinking game.

Cheers, and god help us all if either of these boneheads gets elected!

what makes them fun IS that they are clever and unique to the candidates. you might as well just take shots every few minutes under your plan.

My drinking game was to wait until the other drinker passes out after taking antipsychotics, then drink the rest of the fifth on my own. I typically ended up with half a fifth or less, but it was enough usually.
