I started pulling for the Rays when the Cubs lost, although Id rather have seen a Rays Dodgers matchup I will still watch. However for MLB if the Rays win its a ratings nightmare for them most likely.

The Rays haven't won the pennant yet. The last 2 teams that had the Sox in an elimination game in the ALCS lost the series.

Just because people are pulling for the Rays in the playoffs does not make them bandwagon fans. I am a Braves fan, but since they shitted all over themselves this year, I picked a team to root for in the playoffs. This year it is the Rays. Next year I won't give a shit about the Rays or any other team as long as the Braves are still playing.

Its not like I'm out buying Rays gear and acting like I predicted them to win the WS. Bandwagon is when you like a team when they are good, abandon them when they suck, and like them again when they get good again. See UNC football fans.
