it froze hard here last night and all the leaves dropped off the trees in my yard and the vine on my porch (virginia creeper).

I was up near Binghampton(i think that is how you spell it)......if it is not snowing it is the wind blowing and it makes you think you are visiting the North Pole w/o the snow.

Binghamton. Yep, my manager actually warned me about that on friday. saying that in the winter when the wind is blowing, there's like a -30 windchill. instant pain if you don't have ear protection and gloves.

the Wegman's is in johnson city. we got the lobsters at the Giant grocery store.

yeah, i'm looking at getting a camera/cameras

i'd ideally like to have a decent and small p&s to carry with me most of the time (iphone camera is less than adequate ) and a semi-nice dslr to take with me when possible... i just don't see myself lugging a dslr around to most places when the quality of a decent p&s would be just fine.

unfortunately, that's what I usually have on me when I need to take a pic

the nikon is pretty nice. but I can tell there is no way I can do some of the things I see in that dslr thread:



so the lady and I have been looking to take up photography as a hobby. to do what we want, I think we'll need a better camera than what I have. when our place was robbed, my insurance covered my camera that was stolen, but not hers. I told her I would buy her another one....she said it's not important. but I'm still going to. so I think I'm going to buy us a really nice dslr so I can do some neat things....
