Hypothetically speaking, lets say the election shifts and McCain wins after it seemed like a sure thing for Obama. Lets say history uses "Joe The Plumber" as the tipping point that cased the shift late in the game. How weird would it be to be in the American history books as just some random guy who asked a candidate a question and shifted the balance of history. pretty weird

Yeah it'd be pretty weird if impossible things happened.

I think the bigger question....is why did it take a random plumber to force the whole 'spread the wealth' thing out into the open.

What I find strange is why someone like Obama would be glad that someone like Powell who was one of the main cheerleaders for going into Iraq, would endorse him....and even more strange is why he'd then offer Powell a possible place in his cabinet.

Or perhaps it doesn't matter what a person did in their past as long as they now support your side.......

He helped make sure(in theory) that the false intelligence shit never happens again. I feel like he was legitimately lied to and believed it. I mean, he resigned.

"In July 2007 Powell revealed that he spent two and a half hours trying to persuade George W. Bush not to invade Iraq but that he did not prevail. At the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado Powell stated, "I tried to avoid this war. I took him [Bush] through the consequences of going into an Arab country and becoming the occupiers.""
