this time.


ive got ad block on mozilla... i keep getting ads and pop ups. they are mozilla ones so im assuming its some sort of spyware.

i used CCleaner, Avast, and adaware all in one shot.

neither of them finds anything.. well Ccleaner does, but comes right back.

avast found a few trojan virus' a few days ago.. i deleted them.

i have to use mozilla, chrome and IE just to get a days job done because at certain times each does not work. i cant click anything (flash buttons or whatever) in mozilla, chrome and IE are pretty stable, but too many pop ups in IE.

oh and chrome wont let me click on that wrench to mess with settings, evertime i open a tab, and click on other tabs to view them, it closes out that tab, even if i right click on the tab.

oh what to do.

im in the process of getting another IBM laptop (EPP) , but i just want this fixed. i need a newer laptop anyways.

did you try them all in safemode?

have you tried spybot S&D?

ill try safe mode. and spybot.

the mozilla prob: everytime i do an action, it kind of freezes, i gotta minimize the window, then pop it back up and i can do another action.. thats how i gotta roll with that. hmmm

so my avast! anti virus keeps telling me that malware is found.. Win32:rootkit-gen [Rtk]

i keep pressing delete in avast and it keeps popping back up. ive even tried to search for it and have gone into the containing folder.. but i cant find this thing.

i did a system back up a week ago, but i think it was when i probably had the virus (i was downloading programs like an idiot).. so i dont know what good a system restore would do. heck it probably wouldnt hurt.
