I am a former republican who has gone independent because I do not like the past 8 years of neo-con rule by the current administration.

I will be voting for Obama because I fell like he can make better choices and able to appoint the appropriate people to cabinets and offices. I also prefer his ideology on international relations (being that it is what I do and study).

I have never been and never be a person that believes in "speak softly and carry a big stick".

Also the fact the McCain chose a person like Palin to run as VP is like WTF are you doing. and I lost all respect for McCain

obama

I don't believe that this "socialist tax plan" that everyone is freaking over is actually going to be implemented in its fullest. checks and balances.

oh and, sarah palin is scarier than dick cheney. and so is john mccain.

you all are voting for a man who believes in the redistribution of wealth. stealing from one person, to hand money to another. If Obama is so concerned about these needy people, THEN WHY IN THE HELL HAS HE RAISED OVER $603 MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS TO PUT HIS FACE ON TV. If this son of a bitch was so concerned about these people, he'd demand that money be returned and donated to the poor.

redistribution of wealth is not best for this country.

America is about building wealth and creating wealth, personal freedom, personal responsibility. America is not about taking one's hard earned fortunes, and handing them to others

So Obama raising over half a billion dollars to put his face on TV, makes him more in-tune with average Americans and shows his concern for the poor?

^^^^ I don't know if you realize it or not but we just gave $700 B to some huge companies. I don't think taxing the people who are benefiting the most from that is redistribution of wealth.

He's putting his face on television so he can become President in order to help them you dumbass.

Whether you agree with it or not doesn't matter. It happened and we have to pay for it. I'd rather have rich people pay their fair share of it because I'll never see a dime of that money.

And yeah, McCain is also getting his ass handed to him so that seems to be working really well for him

stop and remember that most of the people with wealth wouldn't make it without peoples hard earned wages going to them. the masses make the rich rich. wake up.

I am voting so for the next 4 years I can complain.

I hate both candidates......Is this really the best both parties have to offer?

An inexperienced person that if he were white would never be considered (borderline socialist)........or McCain.

Obama is no where close to better than McCain. True, both aren't great candidates, but Obama is a hypocrite and Biden is fucking looney. Have you ever listened to what he has said? Including in the past? He's fucking nuts.

helping the less fortunate? I'm all about helping someone who's been laid off and is looking for another job. I'm completely against the government supporting someone because they are lazy, chose a low paying career, made bad choices, etc.

i don't understand why people criticize his tax plan and call him a socialist. your taxes are already being redistributed how the government sees fit. you act like you receive nothing from this, and poor people are just going to sit there and collect a check. don't you think your money pays for roads and schools and this goddamn war in iraq??? UGH!!!
