It just dawned on me that I've been using the same keyboard for nearly 10 years now. It's decent, but even a complete tear down and cleaning of it I did a year or so ago didn't really return it's feel like I remember it the day I got it.

I'm not looking for some high end keyboard, just one that has nice touch to the keys. If it is a split keyboard the better.

i use this at work. it's a belkin split ergonimc keyboard. the picture doesn't show it well but the sides are angled away from each other so it's higher up in the middle (like around T G B Y H N) and lower on the sides (around Q A Z P L . ). you can find it for $30-40 online. it's ps/2, not usb, but that's not been a problem for me. the only thing you have to watch out for when using it is the power button on the top right. if you hit it accidentally it turns your computer all the way off.

I've been using the Razer Tarantula. It's not split, but it has an anti-ghosting feature where I can press something like 10 keys at once and they'll all register as pressed. Standard keyboards blow up if you press more than two + control + shift. It's really useful in FPS games.

But at $90, it's probably not what you're looking for.

I like this one so much that I got an extra one to use with my PC.


The only thing that sucks, is that the full keyboard with the numpad is only available as a wired keyboard. the wireless version is missing a lot of important keys:

Although there are a lot of keyboards I like out there, the basic Logitech Deluxe is really nice as well for basic 'touch' of keyboard the keys are nearly perfect response, as well as most Microsoft keyboards.

i've used that curved microsoft keyboard and didn't like it. maybe because i was used to mine, but it's too flat and even though it's curved it's a weird angle.
