http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/10/28/mitsubishis-6-999-65-inch-laservue-hdtv-now-hitting-retailers/

What is more likely, Santa actually bringing this to me for Christmas, or there actually being a Santa Claus? gotta go with the latter.

If you want a monitor for photoediting or graphics, this is it. I believe it is advertising that it is hitting 200% of the NTSC color gamut. It will be really cheap once they get the manufacturing plant at full capacity, which is probably around a year from now. I will get one once it hits the sub $1000 range in about 3 years.

^^ the number of people buying plasmas and lcds then putting them on huge vs stands really bothers me. I know most reviews say it rival the kuro as far as picture but has anyone heard if it has the same short comings of dlps i.e. slim viewing angle.

The problem is it's not a monitor, it's a 65" television.

I've seen this at a few trade shows, it really is the best looking HDTV I have ever seen, bar none.

Easily worth the money if you've got that much to spare.

EDIT: BTW, thanks for the link!
