10/28/2008 7:17:58 PM
Campus Police, probably515-3000[Edited on October 28, 2008 at 7:19 PM. Reason : man, i just got some lady a weird call]
10/28/2008 7:18:01 PM
I found a dead cat on the side of the roadso I took it home and put some honey on itand I cooked it and I ate it.Is that bad?Doo do-do doo doo
isn't campus police like, 515-3000I was hoping more along the lines of building staff rather than calling the campus cops.
10/28/2008 7:18:47 PM
probably only cleaning staff around at this point[Edited on October 28, 2008 at 7:20 PM. Reason : and they aren't going to risk their job for your word]
10/28/2008 7:20:06 PM
give them a callit will get them off tww for a good 15 mins
10/28/2008 7:20:17 PM
NahThey just told me that they can't unlock doors unless its a staff member and its their office.I started to ask if they knew any other place to call and they hung up on me.

Not gonna work too well on the third floor, and the fact that the door doesn't have a window.
10/28/2008 7:23:04 PM
is it one of those doors you can shimmy open with a credit card or something?if not, good luck picking that lock
10/28/2008 7:26:35 PM
Can you just get it early tomorrow morning?
10/28/2008 7:27:16 PM
leave a note
10/28/2008 7:27:36 PM
I could probably get it early in the morning, just my jacket and some stuff I bought at the bookstore right before lab, but I'd rather not have it be discovered before I get to it.Its a double door, so the teeth or w/e are easy to get to, but are facing the wrong way. I could pop the hinges, but its a pretty damn big door . They seem resistant to credit cards.Probably just end up leaving a note and coming in early. When do the labs/Dabney open?
10/28/2008 7:32:16 PM
what stuff? like your keys & wallet? or just your lab book? If it's really important call back campus police and ask to talk to a supervisor. Wander around and try to find the building cleaning or maintenance people, try the buildings next door as well. Give them your best sob story and hope they're nice. Offer some money if they don't bite. Good luck.
10/28/2008 7:32:56 PM
call the teacher/ta

how many of you guys remember when the deer got into daniels hallat like 2 in the afternoonthat was awesome
10/28/2008 7:44:00 PM
Sent an email to the professor, maybe she'll answer it. I'm not trying to get her to come back and open the door, but just see when they open the building.
10/28/2008 7:49:00 PM
that sucks
10/28/2008 7:52:18 PM
Yeah. Not that it will likely happen since I don't have many semesters left, but I'll never sign up for a late lab like this again
10/28/2008 7:54:24 PM
where is the closest 24-hour desk from there?
10/28/2008 7:54:53 PM
gimme 20 bucks, a paper clip, and a rideI'll get you in
10/28/2008 7:55:46 PM
They have 24 hour desks?I didn't see anything in this building.
10/28/2008 7:58:31 PM
well, i mean wherever a 24 hour computer lab isi know Daniels has one, i dunno about the buildings around Dabney, wasn't really my neck of the woods
10/28/2008 7:59:26 PM
wellI'm in a computer lab here The main one in the lobby seems locked up, it was dark when I scoped out the offices and the only people I saw were some douche bag/non-english speaking foreign grad students.Only other place I really know of around here would be DH Hill, but I seriously doubt they would be able to help.[Edited on October 28, 2008 at 8:04 PM. Reason : klasjdf]
10/28/2008 8:03:39 PM
hrmid ask one of themim pretty sure if you have a lab open 24 hours you have to have someone therebut i could have just made that up
10/28/2008 8:05:08 PM
Heh, I asked a group as they were trying to find a way out of Dabney and one of them was all "I don't know, I am a new freshman, very new" or something in broken English. I should've said he was a little old to be a freshman, but I wasn't quick enough. The other guy I asked couldn't understand my question/English, so I said 'thanks' and let him go.They probably were supposed to close down this lab that I'm in, but I'm guessing they didn't because I was doing work in here.Professor emailed me back all 'you should've called campus security', but she'll be here in the morning so I'll just get my crap then. Thanks for the suggestions though.[Edited on October 28, 2008 at 8:18 PM. Reason : Its gonna be a cold walk to the parking deck]

make sure you aren't high when you call campus police. you don't want to get arrested for being "sketch"
10/28/2008 8:52:22 PM
on a side note, when dealing with a latch facing the opposite direction, simply cut a shark fin section out of a credit card, leaving about a half inch on the end, slip over latch, pull towards you.i knife or something to get the latch started/support the card helps as well.that is all.$1
10/28/2008 9:07:03 PM
who you gonna call?*starts beatboxing*
10/28/2008 9:08:34 PM
Campus police probably won't do anything for you. If you want, go to Dabney 3rd floor and talk to one of the guys in the Chemistry Stock room, they might help you out. They have a master key for Dabney. They get there at 7 or 8 in the morning, so you could get your stuff before anyone uses the lab.
