They aren't even gonna show UNC's games, they'll show a continuous shot of him on the bench with Vitale or Mike Patrick or someone saying "NOT BEING ON THE COURT IS JUST TEARING HIM UP INSIDE! HE HAS SO MUCH WILL! LOOK AT THE DETERMINATION IN HIS EYES! NO PLAYER HAS EVER REHABBED AS HARD AS TYLER!"

i heard a stress reaction is basically the same thing as a bone bruise but that the best way to heal it is to stay off of it

hopefully he decides to heal it by willing himself off of a balcony into a swimming pool again

Seems like these days people think "Indefinitely" means forever.

He'll probably be back in 2 weeks.

Some bone bruises are nothing and some can be so bad that they end up causing the bone to fracture.

man that sucks. I've had shin splints before and they are a pain. I was forced to run in PE101 and told the instructor and he didn't care. I finally convinced him to let me use the bike to take off the impact and he let me. They will still come back to me if I play ball, with all the jumping and hard landing on the hardwood.

[Edited on October 31, 2008 at 10:59 AM. Reason : also, tyler hansblow doesn't know what a URL is, i have sources that he asked that in class]

They are going to use this to say he's still recovering from it all season and that he just has so much heart to play through that kinda pain. I hate when they try and take a player like that and try and make him an even bigger story.

Breaking News ESPN: He's going to suck in the NBA. Enjoy covering him while you can.

If you watch the bilas video in the first espn link, he makes clear (paraphrasing) "It's not just a pain issue don't worry, Tyler is TOUGH, he can play through all kinds of pain"

Wow, this totally made my day. Hopefully this will keep the Heels from winning the title.

And to the guy who says he won't be any good in the NBA....WRONG. I'm no Tarheel apologist and I'm not saying he will be an all-star, but he will be a solid role player.

if he was going to be a good nba player he'd have gone. the fact that his family's middle class has nothing to do w/ it.

He will be an acceptable bench player, that's about it.

Don't really see that happening... the refs in the NBA won't blow the whistle when someone breathes on him like they're trained to do in the ACC.

this guy has too much skill and works too hard to be a 7th or 8th man. He will be like Leon Powe (well, maybe Powe is the 7th man, I dunno) has been for Boston, he just has to be in the right situation.

I'm a Tarheel hater just as much as the next guyState fan, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to talent and skill.

I think Hansborough will be a quality bench player in the NBA, but you can't deny that he struggles some with other skilled tall players.

yea, he's 6' 8" and scores with a physical presence
if you think he could even physically battle guys like ben wallace and amare stoudamire who are bigger and more athletic then him then you are on your own

no i dont cry when i see their colors by the way

He will not play in the NBA. When he gets there, guys with actual athletic sill like Hickson will dominate him.

you people are so wrong it's ridiculous. Even Shav Randolph has been able to stay on some teams. He's not playing a single minute, but he's still on the roster. If you don't think Hans-bro will play in the NBA you are seriously retarded or don't know what basketball is.

^ just lots of denial here. Hansbrough will be a nice role player... never a star, though.

Jake fucking Voskuhl carved out a nice little 7-8 year career in the NBA and Hansbrough won't? Ok... The only way that happens is if he pulls a Josh McSoberts and gets so pissed off that he isn't playing that he just whines, cries and doesn't try his way right out of the league...

Quote :

Oh, yeah... I forgot that a 19' 3 pointer, slapping the floor on defense, hand checking and flopping (not to mention sickly poor shooting) is "real basketball." I used to crack up when Vitale/Patrick would call Jay Williams "the best PG in the NBA even when he was in college." The motherfucker was dominating scrubs like Archie Miller and Justin Gainey... not exactly NBA level athletes...

I will say though, that if the Bobcats draft Hans-bro...I'm done with the franchise.
