I have killed at least three.

I have an old POS Belkin and it never even needs resetting. I read somewhere that torrents and linksys routers do not work together well.

ahhh. I haven't done any of that. my brother only uses linksys, and he's got 2 or 3 that are working on 5 or 6+ years with no problem

they'll give you the reach-around if you ask

[Edited on October 31, 2008 at 7:40 PM. Reason : Juniper Networks also makes fine network gear]

lol..linksys was great before cisco bought them. i had a $99 old ass linksys router work for a ~100 person office for over a year..then upgraded to the top of the line linksys firewall/VPN router and it never worked right. bought a cisco and haven't had any problems since

ah well

in my experience little changed in the Linksys lineup since Cisco bought them

I had 2 of their switches die in like a year's time before teh buy-out

your mileage may vary, though

juniper for carrier-grade networks

yeah pretty much all we did was slap the cisco logo on it and otherwise leave linksys alone.

shit, they're not even merged into our corporate intranet and it's been what, 5 years?

well dammit i haven't bought a piece of hardware from them since the merger that has worked problem free. before the merger, everything was issue free

ah well, fuck it, i'll just buy cisco stuff and not have to worry about it.
