wow, butler intercepts the ball to the 1 yard line. First and goal....nothing, second and goal...nothing, 3rd and goal...touchdown but illegal aid by the QB so third and 5 on the 5...next play interception by indy all the way to the house 95 yard. 14-3.

My high school lost badly to both of these on at least a bi-yearly basis, but hell, I know people that went to Indy.

Independence is #1 in the state and Butler is #2. This may be the real State Championship game. It's being played at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. It seats 24,000 and was used in many shots for the George Clooney and Renee Zellweger movie Leatherheads. You can tell which scenes are at the stadium b/c of the distinctive stone walls of the stadium that line the field. The HBCU Johnson C. Smith also uses it for their football games. I've been to a couple games there. It's old but cozy.

i pass it every day going to work. saw some people settin up to tailgate on the way home tonight but wasnt sure what was going on. high school football isnt even close to on my list of things to care about.
