That blog suggest he was a "director" when he was a "board member" which I guess you could loosely call being a director.

And other than this association, Obama doesn't seem to have any connection with the other allegations in the writeup.

It looks like they're using Obama's name to generate clicks to their site, discussing what apparently was a failed conspiratorial attempt by the Joyce Foundation to tek your guns.

the title's a potential overstatement for sure but obama's true stance on 2nd amendment rights is pretty accurate

had he been overt about his intentions to slowly restrict and regulate firearms out of legal existence, it would have hurt him significantly in the election

I don't see the Assault Weapons Ban being re-phased in without considerable modifications.

And I TOO will eat my own shit (and anyone else's) if handguns, rifles, and shotguns get taken away. I can't guarantee that fully automatic weapons won't get banned though (even though they practically already are).

That's mostly what you need to know.

"Assault Weapon" was a marketing strategy designed to scare people, but it was too broad in its implementation to really be useful in any way (and some would argue such a ban would NEVER be useful). IIRC, it primarily referred to non-handguns that had pistol grips.
