11/10/2008 8:43:41 PM
Did they mean places where there are a lot of children being born or what?
11/10/2008 8:43:52 PM
i'm dead serious. i've been to jacksonville, and greenville, and some of the most wretched people I've ever met are either from there, or live there. and both places are just disgusting. i seriously don't understand this list.

I'm currently working in greenville, and don't see what's so bad about it? Maybe because I rarely wander far from the Pitt County hospital.
11/10/2008 8:59:46 PM
Jacksonville? It's worse than Fayettenam or Greensboro.
11/10/2008 9:00:09 PM
^^ given I've only visited greenville (quite a few times), the people, places, etc... that I saw there looked pretty run down. But then again, I was hanging around ECU
11/10/2008 9:02:24 PM

Greenville has some ghettos and the college is kinda bad but away from that its pretty nice. And I am assuming you have never spent time in wilmington if you think its bad, its a far better area to raise a child than the triangle.

i'm from carteret countyand i fucking hate jacksonville and everyone in itin fact, i would love nothing better than the entire city and surrounding 10 mile radius be burnt to the ground

they've got to be deducing that it is a good place to raise kids just cause everyone there shits out babies - I mean, fuck it, nothing better to do and birth control doesn't seem like the Christian thing

New Bern was a fun place to grow up...I loved being so close to the water.
11/11/2008 1:00:08 AM
Hmmm... my favorite are little 'ole ...Asheboro - close enough to real cities, no risk of being shotAsheville - Lovely place, but tough to get around in winterCarolina Beach - Lots of run-down places to hang out, used to love it. Plus every 5-10 years it washes away and you get to start over...

Im from Wilimington (Topsail to be a little more exact) and I plan on raising kids there one day. Life near the beach cant be beat. I go to ECU and there is a snowball's chance in hell that I would think that it is a good place to raise a kid.... Maybe Winterville or the outskirts, but too much shit in Pitt. As far as Jacksonville, it ranks #1 in youngest age in the US at 22 and it seems that when I am unfortunate enough to go there, it is depressing to see all of the knocked up 16 year olds walking around town. Guess the jar's have to plant their seed before they leave

I'm from wilmington, not the outskirts of wilmington, but wilmington itself. It used to be a sweet place to live, but now there are way too many thugs and wiggers around. Its like all the surfer kids went from being stoners to thugs in a matter of a few years.I'm still torn on if I would wanna raise a kid there, its a beautiful city, but the job market down there is terrible and like I said the kids are all fucked up.I would rather live in the Outer Banks, it reminds me of what wilmington was 20 years ago
11/11/2008 1:22:44 PM
^^ haha, i was thinking the same thingasheville certainly isn't known for harsh winters
