i've retired from poetritution after being swindeled by poetry.com

they promised 10,000 pay off, they even published your poems, i though it was cause they were good but i soon found out they published it in this gigantor book of about 100,000 poems of other duped people from the site and they sold it back to us for $99

a big pile of garbage poems, since them i've found it hard to trust the internets

Quote :
"The cracking of my voice and the precipitation on my palms
betray the mask of my maturity.
Her careless smiles and unnoticed arm brushes
return me to eight where the playground makes her my secretly desired enemy.
Syncopated giggles and glances at her feet relieve me of my armor in her presence.
Not a knight, nor a squire, but a page.
A page in a book covered in dust and age waiting to be read.
He that would look to the sky,
gazing at a souring eagle know only a beggar's sum of my envy and admiration.
Adolescent rooms of pictures and posters can't presume to know the depth of my adoration, my inexplicable infatuation.
She is my muse and motivation,
a barometer of success on which I want to depend.
All here life may not be golden,
but its luster would deceive the eyes of the keenest jeweler.
She shines...and I'm the better man for being blinded by her."
