Should I drop out of school and become a Durham Police Officer? I'm not doing very good in school and I don't know if I'll be able to graduate the way I'm going. Also what if I just go active duty.

not that I should help you out or anything but if you're bombing your classes due to absences you can go to the counseling center and make up some sob story about how you caught your fiance cheating on you with your roommate or something and they'll drop an entire semester's worth of grades and give you some fun drugs

my friend bombed his entire freshmen year and did that and got all IN's and now he's back in doing fine

don't drop out of college, you'll regret it the rest of your life.

You won't be successful as a police officer if you can't even make yourself attend class. Besides, you have to complete the BLET program. 50+ sections of coursework, all tested individually, as well as a comprehensive state exam all crammed into about 6 months. For fucks sake, college is easy. You only have to make yourself go to class less than 15 hours a WEEK. How are you going to get up and go sit in class 8 hours a day.

Then assuming you did successfully pass the training and state exam, you have to show up to work on time every day. You have to work at a level of proficiency that shows you are not a dumbass or attorneys and DA's will quickly learn you are a joke.

Look in the mirror. Grow up. Find some balls and go to class and get a degree.
