I don't think the NFC south can get 3 teams in. The Saints are going to win some big games down the stretch and that will hurt the South's chances of getting in over Washington and/ or Dallas. Its going to be one east and one south taking the wild cards.

As long as the Panthers do their part and beat the Broncos at home, the Chargers will win the AFC West at 8-8.

^^Absolutely. I only see Denver winning one more game this year. That leaves it wide open for the Chargers.

BTW, the Broncos are the only team this year to lose to both the Chiefs and the Raiders...they don't deserve the playoffs.

must be nice to be a Cardinals fan when every single team in your division could be eliminated from playoff contention with 4 weeks to go in the season

Cardinals cans till clinch if SF (@Buffalo) and StL (vs Miami) both lose...and that seems incredibly likely.

Also noteworthy, although expected, is that no AFC West team is statistically capable of receiving a first round bye in the playoffs. The NFC North should reach that same status by next weekend.

^The Bills are actually only 2 games out of the WC spot and will be the same in regards to the division lead if the Jets lose, so they have a much better chance than plenty of other teams that are not yet statistically eliminated.
