Arkansas won in 2006 and didn't play in 2007.... I don't think they cared, as they probably would have lost in 2007 anyways.

Such an elite tourney, wish we would get more recognition, I mean look at the previous teams in the tourney, man I AM PISSED!

BTW, Here's a little lesson I learned in 1996.... College Basketball teams plan their respective schedules 2-3 years in advance.... meaning that without a time-travel machine and any common sense, Mr. Lowe had no idea that State would actually win the tournament. Therefore, he scheduled other games that coincided with the dates of the prestigious Old Spice tournament.

Every one of the fags drops $5k into the Maui economy. How much would a State grad add to their growth? The people that travel to the tourney have dropped big $$$ since the tourney started.

^well, since the average state grad makes more than the average unc grad your point is moot. it's the sheer volume of unc bandwagon fans that bring the money.

Rarely do teams play in the same early season tournaments year in and year out. Seems like something you rotate through, some years you do it some you don't, but what is the point of "defending your title" when the same teams don't return each year? Doesn't have much meaning, and to be honest good move. We just need to get wins early and we'd been out in the first round.

I think State's engineers get paid more than UNC's liberal artists, but their engineers (via biomedical) get paid more.

I'll admit it, after we won the tournament last year, I went out and bought some celebratory Old Spice After Shave. It happened to coincide with starting to have to shave everyday and I can't afford anything more expensive for everyday use.

I like it...there I said it. It's like being in love with a fat girl. I feel guilty for loving it so much because I know I should be embarrassed.


Oh, and it looks like out B-ball team is going to such ape shit again this year. Can't we just have Lowe be on the recruiting team and hire someone else?

They have a BME program, which appears to be a joint program with NCSU.

Their BME program like mentioned is joint and a lot of their classes are taken here. I would be willing to take a gander and would say that the NC State Computer Science and BMEs,all make more on average than UNC (I think these are the only two engineering programs they have, but could be wrong). I would also being willing to guess that the CHEs, EEs, MEs and all make more than the CSCs and BMEs from UNC.

I'm just glad our Basketball team is off to a good start, but I too wish we would be in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic since it does impact our school so much and I think it would just be the right thing to be scheduled into.
