Just as a side note, I know Imus got in trouble for the whole Rutgers Women's Basketball thing, but when does he actually talk about sports? Because in listening to it for 15 minutes on Monday all he talked about was how he was going to have Patricia Cornwell as a guest on Tuesday; and then on Tuesday all he did was talk to Patricia Cornwell and bitch at his production staff.

Also, he's terrible.

DAN PATRICK was phenomenal though, i am definitely saddened by this but I am very happy about the Tirico/Van Pelt show

Yeah, not happy about the switchover, I have a hard time picking up AM stations in my office.

Thank goodness for XM in my car, so at least I get Dan Patrick when I'm running errands in the morning.

Also, I actually miss the Fanatics show in the morning. They weren't the best sportscasters on the planet, but at least I got a good amount of time focused on local teams. I don't like the guys on 850, and Imus/Mike&Mike sure as hell aren't going to be focused on NCSt/UNC/Duke/Hurricanes/Pirates/Deacons and the various high school and Div 1aa and 2 schools around the state.

All he does is take a topic, take the most controversial viewpoint on it, blabber about it for an hour, constantly repeat himself, then take a few calls from people who have the opposite view, not let them finish or not let them respond to his statements and then claims that he won. Cowherd is ok. I agree with his generalizations on life and sports about half the time. At least he talks about college football sometimes.

i guess this goes to show how different the markets can be only a few hours away...in Charlotte, Cowherd has come on 1660 at 10am for years...meanwhile, Dan Patrick use to be on from 1-3 I think but maybe 6 months ago they replaced that slot with Tirico/Van Pelt...I had no idea Patrick even had a show anymore

patrick left espn, that is why his show was taken over by tirico and van pelt from 1-3. after patrick left espn he got another show but it was in the 10-12 slot, i believe with sporting news radio. doesnt matter what market you are in that is all the same regardless

- Mike and Mike
- Dan Patrick
- Jim Rome

and in Raleigh I doubt you get the Morning Sports Page or the Mac Attack
