I saw the preview for it last night before Australia. It's coming out on earth day (4/22) 2009. I remember the discovery channel had the Planet Earth documentary series a year or so ago. Is this just a condensed version?
At any rate, the preview melted my heart:

well the preview talks about following a whale, polar bear, and elephant family for a year. I guess maybe that other stuff is just thrown in there at times. 12/3/2008 10:14:08 PM |

it is, they re-cut it and slapped a Disney label on it and some decent marketing and will make a bundle with low overhead

hell i might consider watching it just for the fact that it will be a much higher quality experience than sitting in front of my tv. 12/6/2008 10:16:17 AM |

When the shows first aired, there was nothing better than getting super ripped and watching 3-4 hours of Planet Earth on DVR. 12/6/2008 12:09:57 PM |
