It's a Christmas gift, so I'm hoping to get one in decent condition. (maybe even with a case.)
I've got about $100-150 to spend.
Anyone?
I'm not sure what these are worth, so if i need to be looking to spend more, educate me. 12/3/2008 9:06:15 PM |

sounds like you might be able to afford a crappy new "starter" guitar, I'd go with that. Otherwise somebody is going to sell you a crappy used guitar.
edit: several of these in your price range: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/navigation/value-package-acoustic-guitars?N=100001+306252&Ns=P_RatingOverall|1&rpp=20

yep, do that, not many people like used gifts. i got my first guitar for $100, just a Johnson beginner guitar, any guitar shop should have them and they should still be around that price.12/3/2008 9:49:48 PM |

Not many people like used gifts.... pfft - if they know ANYTHING about guitars this is not the case.
I'd take about a 70ish Ovation ANY day of the week, and I don't care if I'm the 500th owner.
Can't help in Raleigh, but I know the owner of a shop in Hope Mills - can hook you up with great gear on discount.

I have a Takamine Jasmine model S-35 if you're interested. I'm sure you know its not really a nice guitar but its a decent beginners guitar. Its in very good shape.

I am probably late, but I have a Fender electric acoustic with a soft case I would let go for $150.
It is in awesome shape, just needs new strings.
