My sister is a struggling single mother of 5 kids ranging in age from infant to 5 years old. Do you have mounds of clothes and toys that your kids have outgrown but you can't fathom throwing that stuff away? If you have any items that you are giving away or selling for cheap please email me @ leyrobbins@tmail.com. For items for sale I prefer someone selling a lot of several items rather than buying single items but please let me know what you have. The children are both sexes so I'm looking for movies, toys, shoes and clothes for boys and girls. I'd rather recycle, pay it forward and give money to other parents than to Walmart. Thanks in advance for your replies and happy holidays! 12/5/2008 10:56:14 AM |

Are you in raleigh? There are a few really good consignment shops in Raleigh and Cary that my wife and I frequent.
There's one at Crossroads next to Marshall's, one is on Falls of the Neuse Road next to Harris Teeter and Ace Hardware. I know there are some other good ones, but I can't remember where they are.
You should also check out the Triangle Mothers of Multiples. At least I think thats what the group is called. They have huge consignment sales a few times a year at the fairgrounds. You can get awesome deals there. 12/6/2008 3:37:10 PM |

People are always giving away tons of stuff on Craigslist, check the free section throughout the week, especially Sat / Sun for all the yard sale leftovers. 12/6/2008 6:12:13 PM |

there's also a huge consignment sale at the fairgrounds coming up in January. That's the best place to get clothes for super cheap. Not free, but a dollar or two.

^^ you can opt to receive 'digests' from freecycle rather than individual emails. I get 3-5 emails a day listing about 20 posts. just log into the group page and edit your settings
and yes wake freecycle has tons of offers for infant/childrens clothes and toys 12/10/2008 11:48:54 AM |
