"You are driving in a car at a constant speed. On your left side is a 'drop off', (The ground is 18-20 inches below the level you are traveling on), and on your right side is a fire engine traveling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping horse, which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a galloping zebra. Both the horse and zebra are also traveling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation? "

I'll post the answer if no one else gets it, for some reason.

call 911 and say there is a fire so the firetruck will speed up or change its course.

I always thought merry-go-rounds were playground equipment

I never realized it was also a synonym for a carousel.

keep going, because if they're at your speed then there is no reason to pass them.

Can you solve this puzzle?

You are riding on a beautiful white horse.

On your left side is a drop off.

On your right side are several ostriches being chased by a lion.

In front of you are four large gazelles that won't get out of your way and
you can't seem to overtake them.

Behind you is a stampede of horses.

What must you do to get out of this highly dangerous situation?

* Get your drunk ass off the merry-go-round. *

IIRC carousels go one way and merry-go-rounds go another (Clockwise vs. Counterclockwise). Not sure which way a merry go round goes, but it could be an incorrect answer to your riddle.
