i'm kinda hoping phish isn't there. tickets will probably sell out before i know whether or not i can make it next year. i'd like to go back, but i won't know until probably april if i'll have the money to do it.

^ how has it gotten shittier? look at the first 2 or 3 lineups and then look at the lineups for 2007 and 2008. all those groups that were there in the first few years are still coming back.

the worst ones i've encountered are the ones who frequent the festival scene and who have been attending bonnaroo since around the beginning. everyone else was pretty cool, even the metallica fans.

haha wow, I'm definately not a hippie elitest. So it's my opinion that there is an increasing amount of bands that I don't like. But on the topic of the police, that means alot, in 2006 I had no worry of undercover police, and although in 2008 the number of people arrested wasn't very large in comparison to the entire population of the event, it is still alot more than 2 years earlier. Now the point I am trying to make, is that this causes psychological unrest for a majority of the people who could possibly become part of your ".1%". Jesus why am I arguing about this.

^ i don't even remember seeing cops except for the horse cops on the road to centeroo. once you got in centeroo i don't think i saw a single cop all weekend. security getting in there was a joke too. at times there would be so many people waiting by the arch that they'd just say fuck it and let everyone start walking in without doing the already extremely lax searching procedure. it's just laughable when people complain about how bad the police presence has gotten when the odds of you getting caught are slim to none, so as long as you're not a complete fucking idiot you can do whatever you want, especially once you go into centeroo.

and the searches were hilarious to me. i forgot i had a huge bottle of advil in my pack...the guy just pulled out the bottle, shook it, and said "fuck, that's a lot of pills." and stuck em back in and let me go through.

i still love when the people camping next to us gave me a sparks and got me to help them sneak in a boatload of beer
