im moving...i have time warner shit cable and roadrunner lite for about 90 bucks a month now.never had satellite and not sure if its worth it to change?what are your opinions on both...im assuming i can get the internet through the satellite?

yes, its worth it. if you haggle and are smart enough, you can get free directv for like the first 4-5 months. Although it is a 2 year contract, it is far better than cable

Some people say "pop" and some people say "soda".Seriously, the problem with satellite is that it only works when it's not raining. Find out if your new location carries Verizon FiOS and/or AT&T U-Verse and avoid Time-Warner's abuse of capitalism and the disappointing satellite companies.

And I will say that I have had nothing but pleasant experiences when I have had to call DirecTV customer service. I never sit on hold, and the people that answer speak English and are very nice.Just do a search for TWC in Chit Chat if you want to see how Time Warner's customer service is.^ and no, you don't pay extra for locals[Edited on December 22, 2008 at 9:29 PM.
