Didn't want to propose on a holiday...just turned out this way. I'll definitely try not to make it the pinnacle of Christmas and be the center of it all..not my style. We've been together for over six years though...I don't think she'll feel extra pressure since it's a holiday.

I shouda got her addicted to T-dub, but I didn't want all you guys working your e-game on her either. The less she knows about T-dub, the better.

I already knew my wife would say yes, since we'd talked about it plenty. The only surprise was not knowing when I would ask. I knew it would mean a lot to her personally for her family to be witnesses; since I already knew what her answer would be, it didn't add any extra pressure for her to say yes.

Really? This would never have occurred to me. I was always kind of looking for rings and shit at Christmas (we dated 5 years before getting engaged). And I don't remember - have absolutely NO idea - what day he proposed. It was a Friday or Saturday night at the end of September, I guess I could go look it up.

I personally hate proposing on a holiday. Don't want an engagement becoming first to the holiday and whatnot. That said, she knew how I felt about proposals and holidays, so I knew that if I sucked it up and did it, she would never see it coming.

She didn't, good times were had, did it with my family around (First of 3 boys to take it to the next level).

I'll be getting laid later.
