I've tried calling several times today. I need to go put an application in for that gun permit. Neither the regular office line nor the gun permit line will pick up. Same shit happened on christmas eve. It's a half an hour away and I don't want to drive an hour round trip just to find out they're closed

Well this is my first time buying a gun and I didn't know the whole process. I bought the gun from a friend's store in SC and he said "all you have to do is pay a $20 transfer fee to NC". I didn't know I had to get the permit until the day I went to pick up the gun. I'm not worried about it at all, I have a security clearance with the FBI, I just hate fucking waiting

I finally got to the Gaston Co. Sheriff's office today and they looked at me funny when I told them what I was doing. Turns out the guy at the gun store didn't know what he was talking about and my original suspicion was correct. WTF.
