What are your picks for best games of this year? A lot of great games came out this year. I stuck with only games that I've actually played. So obviously no PS3 titles here, though Little Big Planet would definitely be in here somewhere if I did own a PS3.

Even though it's really just an extension of the last game, I'd have to go with Rock Band 2. I really think Rock Band is the best local multiplayer game I've played since Goldeneye.

It's definitely one of my favorites since Super Mario Bros. 3.

2008 was a greyathon. I didn't play a single game that stood out. If i had a ps3 i would probably say MGS4. Fallout 3 was great, but honestly it was a gun mod for oblivion and didn't have the same feel as the first two fallout's. GTA4 felt like GTA3, 2 and not really an expansion of where the series left off with GTA:SA having removed most of the mini activities and little things that made GTA fun for me. Left 4 Dead was great but i grew bored of it after 1 week.

i really don't think it was a good year for videogames (even though gamespot gave out like a billions 10s ) - mostly rehashed sequels with prettier graphics and few truly innovative games

i would give it to fallout 3 but i never played oblivion

i realize mgs4 was a technical marvel but the story made me wanna puke

2008 was clearly a better year for gaming, the only noteworthy games from 07 that I can remember are Mario Galaxy and Bioshock.
