TIM TEBOW >> SAM BRADFORD

SEC > Big 12

Bob Stoops << Urban Meyer

FLORIDA >> OKLAHOMA

49 > 21 Florida wins with little effort.

I wish it was possible for both teams to lose. Or maybe if they both turn the ball over 4-5 times a piece that would be fun.

Lets take some fancy smancy computer equation combined with a coaches opinion poll so that we can arbitrarily label two teams as #1 and #2. Put them in a game together that we'll call the National Title in an attempt at making some big marketing $$$ and to satisfy the american desire to call a team a CHAMPION or #1.

That would be nice. The only reason I'd like to see that would be to further invalidate this game as there is an undefeated team this year - in some sort of vain desire to see the BCS done away with. It'll never happen though.

Maybe a protest rally on the frontsteps of the NCAA building will get them promise us a playoff. Either that or we just go nuts and burn the building down.

unless a playoff system would make more money it will never happen

you all know this

we just need to all quit bitching and turn off the games

the only way to get something legit would be to kill the ratings

When I get home I'm going to start a Facebook group to organize a protest march on the NCAA headquarters at 700 W. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN. Whose with me?! We can schedule it during a break in school too, like Easter or Spring Break. Would we need any kind of permit? This could get on ESPN easily.

^^how would a playoff system NOT make money??

As it is right now, the only games I really cared about this bowl season was NCSU's bowl, and the UF/OU national title game...theres no real reason to care about the others

you could even keep all the bowls for the first round games of the playoffs, then you'd make even more money on the two games proceeding to the national championship

^x5 so easy a caveman can do it!

Bob Stoops bowl record is 4-5

Urban Meyer's bowl record is 5-1

Not to even mention that Bob has lost 4 out of the past 5 bowl games and is on a two game bowl losing streak against teams that were underdogs.

defeated by ole miss - 31
defeated by texas - 44

unless tebow plays defense, the gators won't stop the sooner offense. haven't scored less than 50 since mid-october. shit, they have scored over 60 in every game since 11/1.

A playoff would make more money, so that's not the issue. The issue is that college presidents are against it and that the current bowl contracts are already in place and would have to be broken.

Basically, the people who make money off the current system will have to give up their money to other people for a playoff.

Urban Meyer's record is 4-1.. i guess unless you're premeditating a victory for him tommorrow night.

i'll give you that OU is pretty good at choking away the big games lately, but i'm not sure i'd say Urban Meyer was out of Bob Stoops league by any means.

There will not be a playoff season b.c the big media bandwagon schools for football Texas, tOSU, Michigan, FL, USC, OK State, Bama
are to skurrrd at the risk of losing to a traditionally weaker team who has a few clutch wins during the playoffs.

Could you imagine of the NCAA did something like the BCS. Hell lets just scrap the NCAA tourney and flip a coin to choose
which two #1 seeds play for the Championship title. Then we'll give the other two #1 seeds a game somewhere, #2 seeds will face
off for a game, down the line.

Texas averaged 43.91 points a game too during regular season play. We see how well they did against a good defense.

I think Texas, Florida, Bama, etc would be down for it

I think tOSU, Michigan, USC, etc (schools in conferences without conference title games) would remain opposed

ou hasn't seen a good defense. fuck man osu managed tx defense very easily....

fl has a defense, which like many have been saying, will only get better next year....

offenses are about the same but tebow is a bit of a bigger running threat than they are used to out of that spot.

defensively FL has a big advantage, offensively FL slightly i would hazard, special teams probably FL but I haven't watched enough OU games to really get a feel for theirs.

I don't see how anyone can say Florida has a better offense when the Sooners just a record for scoring 60 or more points for 5 consecutive games.

pretty much

i didn't say FL's offense is that much better, just a bit, the biggest difference is still in the defensive side of things

So far only 4 out of the 10 BCS national title games have been 10 points or closer

I say one team blows the other team out

but..........

I am hoping for an Instant Classic

I think it will be closer than tOSU's embarrassing performances the last 2 years, but I just don't see Florida losing, and I don't see Florida winning by any less than 10 points...I, too, hope I'm wrong cause that USC/Texas game a few years ago was AWESOME and we need another good one...although maybe if Florida wins by 30 it will once again prove that we need a playoff
