Is it really necessary? I've heard some people say that the coursepack is all you need. Thoughts?

I took it via DE last semester and did not have to buy the textbook - the course pack and lectures were all I needed, easy A+

coursepack is definitely all you need

when i need extra clarification, i checked out an older version of the genetics book from the library. don't waste your money.

everything on the exams comes from the coursepack and from problem sessions

note of advice: take the problem session homework seriously. it will really bail you out if you don't do particularly well on the lecture exams. and take advantage of the extra credit opportunties

^ easy A+???? i'm calling bullshit on that one. GN301 = A+....not GN311

Dont bother with the textbook.. like ^ said, all you need is the coursepack.

And its at least an easy A-

my mistake, it was 301 - I misread..

but yes, 301 is an easy A+
