i'm sorry i meant to say another not an. the game play is not as good as FarCry and the graphics aren't really good enough to merit overlooking the gameplay issues. On the other hand i don't own a $9000 computer so i didn't play it on max settings or anything.

Well for me, I like the mechanics of the games weapons attachment system, the temporary boosts, like the fast running, jumping, strength, and the overall physics. Trust me, its not just one more run-of-mill FPSs.

the game is boring. i havent played it since i beat it 4 hours after i bought it, back when it came out

The game was fairly decent (although sparsely populated with enemies) for the first half. The second half where the aliens take over is really, really boring. Also, the Koreans from the beginning completely disappear once the aliens show up - so no massive chaos battles. Sure the three way battle is a bit cliche by this point, but the alien portion of the game needed something to make it more compelling.

I've never played the sequel so I can't speak to it, but I heard they addressed some of these issues.

I really don't think you aren't missing anything. I agree with Big Business, it isn't as good as the original FarCry (FarCry 2 blows). It isn't a bad FPS, it just isn't a must play.
