I'm just glad that the police officer who arrived was really cool about everything and just told us to end the party with no further actions.

I've got after my neighbors before, I didn't call the cops, but I yelled at them. I can sleep through thumping bass, but for some reason they were on their back porch and kept going "WOOOOO!" my place was one over and one floor above them so I could look out the bedroom window and see them, there were no tits, no awesome anything, they were just holding beers and yelling "WOOOOO!" for no apparent reason. I'd let it go if it were the weekend but they did this like 4 times a week until 3 am.

Most of the parties I go to, if someone shows up at the door politely asking us to tone it down, and they're not acting like a confrontational dick, 95% of the people there would just be like "yeah, sure, sorry about that."

Granted, we'd probably totally forget later and end up getting loud again, but the point is that the neighbor managed to grow some balls.

Most of the parties I've been to the last few years the people were responsible enough to either (A) Talk to their neighbors about it beforehand or (B) live in a house where they would have to be insanely loud for any neighbors to hear them.

Agreed. We didn't get fined. The officer just asked for the apartment owners' ID's and told us that the party was over and that everyone needed to leave. He then left without any other consequence.

^ The last time that our neighbors actually had balls to tell us that we were being too loud, we shut down the party. Why don't you stop assuming that just because we threw a party that we are dumb fucks who don't respect our neighbors. Seriously dude, go find some where else to sit on your high horse.
