Wake had a couple bad years from 06-08, but they'd been winning 20+ games and going to the tournament pretty consistently before that. This is nothing like their football team.

well then i agree that they should've dropped off a lot more after that loss

but i don't think losing to wake at wake by 3 points should knock you down more than a couple spots

so maybe they should've fallen from 11 to 13 or something

yeah, dropping 2 spots after losing to the #4 team is understandable, but not right after you lost your previous game to an unranked opponent... 2 losses in a row and they went from #1 to #5.

Granted I have no delusions that they aren't on of the top 5 teams in the nation, but losing back to back seems like they should be lower than #5.

I guess I'm saying any team that isn't UNC would have fallen below #5 ranked. Oh well, fuck 'em.

I'm thinking we will do like BC and go off on UNC, or Wake in Raleigh and get a big win. Then we will be left wondering how we lost to BC, UVA, VT, FSU, and GT.

We don't lose to VT. That's just something this program doesn't do regularly. The only time I remember VT beating State since they joined the ACC was when Hodge got robbed by the refs up in Blacksburg.
