Recently I have been shocked with several of my friends who critiqued the Dark Knight as a bad movie. One of them even saying he fell asleep twice during the film.

I just don't get it. Easily i'd say its the best movie i've seen in 2008 and would probably put it on my top 10 list.

I guess the movie now being all bubbly and goofy like the comic books let them down or maybe the diabolic casting of the joker instead of the slap stick comic joker like the previous one.

Personally i think these guys are idiots the film was dark complex and Heath Ledger's acting was incredible.

I could see falling asleep during portions of the film. Some of it was unbelievably slow.

With that said, it was still one of 2008's best films.

that, and it's not even just because she looks like an old lady- she didn't sell her character. i found it difficult to understand, for plausibility's sake, why bruce wayne and/or harvey dent even cared about her.

And still...I'd probably just describe it as a pretty good movie. Not great...and not even close to my top 10...but still a pretty good movie.

Movies that I just find entertaining (like a good action flick or horror film that isn't all about substance), I usually just classify as a "good" movie. Heath Ledger's performance makes it better than just a good movie.

yeah i'm sure my buddies who ditched dark knight loveddd Quantum Solace b.c its full of ACTION, things that go boom, and fights. Since they are to ADD to pay attention to a plot.

The only down side i thought to the movie was i thought batman's girlfriend was pretty ugly.

I think maggie's more cute than she is pretty, but that's just me.

Like someone said before in one of these threads, "Its Heat with costumes." Except there was no backstory. I found myself daydreaming through it.

and btw Christian Bale is not Batman, I dont care how hard they try to sell it.

i think batman in general is at the point that after so many batman movies, no one really cares about 1.5 hours of plot anymore

when i watch it now, i only watch scenes featuring the joker

it only takes about 35 minutes, and its pretty rad

maybe in a year or so i'll be down to watch the whole thing again
