The fastest serving time in a sit down restuarant-- ever.

Walked in the door, had chips and salsa immediately drinks ordered and delivered in under a minute.
Took 3 peoples orders at the minute ten second mark, by two minutes fifteen seconds food was on the table.
Dishes cleared within 10 seconds of finishing and check delivered at the same time.

Total time inside the restuarant 11 minutes.

Did I just get laid?

The funniest point was when my buddy asked if he could "Hold on to the menu for a sec" after ordering...

The waiter looked like he thought he was being propositioned for sex.

P.S. I'm an engineer, I am a stop watch.

Yeah, it's pretty good. They use a different food distributor than the standard
El Rodeo = El Rodeo = Mexico
the food is the same menu-wise but just slightly different. Don't know if it's a tangible upgrade in quality over the others or if it just seems a bit better because it's slightly different than the rest.

Many menu items have a lot less grease than they do at the other mexican restaurants, maybe that's the difference.

And just as a warning. I got a buy one get one half off coupon in the mail for La Cocina (US64 between Cary and Apex High). Worst mexican ever. The salsa could be best described as an almost spicy ketchup and all their plates were drown in similar red sauce.

Isn't that place actually off Cary Pkwy? I live right there and have been there a couple times and was not impressed with the food, but the service was good.

Is there another one off Maynard that's better? the only one that showed up on Google was the Cary Pkwy one.

^ Odd, on google maps it shows exactly where I know it is, corner of Chapel Hill Rd (54) and cary pkwy. But the address is Maynard. I don't thijnk its correct.

And I'm talking about Los Tres Magueyes.

^it is on the corner of Chapel Hill and Cary Parkway! That's another location for the restaurant.

It's pretty yummy and has a nice full bar.

There's one in Wake Forest off Capital Blvd. as well. So that's at least 3 locations.

One time I was in there I overheard some guy saying that they drove all the way up from Charlotte just to eat there. The food is good, but man! And you can't tell me that there isn't a mexican restaurant of similar quality closer to Charlotte.

I heard there is a new place in downtown Raleigh that's really good. Dos Taquitoes Ex or something like that. Anyone been?

There is a Dos Taquitos downtown now, but I wouldn't exactly call it new. Jibarra, on the other hand, just opened last week.

^ Is Jibarra any good? I never heard of it. I would like some good Mexican that's different than all the same old stuff. I like places like El Rodeo and all that, but its nice to have something a step up. There are a few awesome places in Charlotte like Cantina, and there used to be a place called Chicos in cary that was really good. Doesn't seem like there is anything around here thouhg.

The food at that place is largely indistinguishable from El Dorado.

Menus:

Haven't been to either (been to the other Dos Taquitos, though), but I hear Jibarra is fantastic.

Bandido's is far superior to any other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Unfortunately, you've got to go out to Durham/CH to find one of their locations.
