We're trying to get a wii working through the composite input on a Hauppauge 1800. Googling shows it's kind of complicated with WMC. Has anyone had success with this? Maybe with another capture program (without a delay to play games?).

Try dscaler. I used to connect my xbox (original) to my Hauppauge card with little problem a few years ago.

The output may be a little dark, but it's an easy adjustment.

We've been thinking some type of rca to vga adapter for his monitor would be easier than a software solution.

i doubt media center will work for this, since it writes to the hdd and then plays it back a few seconds later. If there's a way to just have it show the raw stream video stream, I don't know of it.

^Yeah from what i've seen most capture software will delay the stream by a couple seconds. Friend just wants to play his wii on his 22". Component to dvi maybe? I wonder what resolution the wii would scale that too.
