I'm pretty tied down at the moment. Not literally. But there's an unofficial 'contract' that you'll work for at least a year when you accept a job (with this company), else, you burn some bridges that shouldn't be burned
1/17/2009 12:52:45 AM
Depends on how wet that hole gets...

Lol, well I'm unemployed on the 30th so I could move no problem.Don't have a significant other though, so I'm pretty sure I'll just crawl into a hole somewhere and die. Or maybe I'll find a job. Whatever comes first.

1/17/2009 1:16:02 AM

1/17/2009 10:09:55 AM
This is a question for my s/o, not me. And the answer is yes and very mobile. She is a nurse.[Edited on January 17, 2009 at 10:11 AM. Reason : yes]
1/17/2009 10:11:18 AM
1/17/2009 10:13:44 AM

1/17/2009 11:18:42 AM
not the right time to quit your job given the depressing economic situation.....long distance might be a good option
1/17/2009 11:28:29 AM
I've been thinking about this a lot lately...
1/17/2009 12:25:56 PM
my job allows me to live anywhere in the US near a major US airport (near is measured by being close enough to not make me angry) - preferably in either the central or eastern time zone but not a hard rule - when my wife was looking for jobs before she graduated she was able to look anywhere she wanted and it ended up being a decision between greenville, sc and atlanta, ga and we chose atlanta ]]
1/17/2009 12:59:06 PM
then i would stop using the term s/oI'm Big Business and i approved this message.
1/17/2009 12:59:48 PM
at this point I wouldn't even consider moving for an s/o unless we had been married for several years, she was substantially more established in her career, and being moved by her employer at their expense.
1/17/2009 1:02:35 PM
At this point, I'd have to say "peace out" to the dude.In a few years, it may be different.
1/17/2009 1:03:55 PM
there are special people everywhere so i'm fairly mobile
1/17/2009 1:48:53 PM
only if she made a shit ton more than me - otherwise we're staying.
