They come with a resolution of 1366 by 768.. will this affect gaming in anyways? cos old games wont support such resolutions right?

that is a horrendous resolution for a screen that large!

My 15" laptop is 1920x1200...granted overkill for most people, but I couldn't imagine working with anything less than UWGA+ on a screen that large.

I would seriously consider a screen upgrade if I was you, at least before you do set another machine to a comparable resolution to make sure you're okay with it.

My 13.3" laptop does 1280x800...good for the size, but at 16" that's horrible

This was for my friend whos current 15.4 laptop has a res of 1680*1050.. he doesnt like evreything small so hes kept it at 1280 by 800.. Everything looks blotchy but he cant seem to tell the difference..

Same here. Now i'm spoiled and don't like anything smaller than 1920 by 1200 for heavy computer work. Laptop and my 2 24"s are that. Although my netbook is 1024 by 600.
