I posted this in Study Hall as well but maybe I'll have better luck getting a response here.

My DE class has lectures online and when I click on them it goes straight into quicktime where the playback quality sucks and I can't rewind without watching the whole video over again.

Is there a way to download the video directly onto my computer or set it up to play through windows media viewer instead?

if it's a direct link to a movie file, you can right-click and select "save file as" or "download linked file" and just save it as a movie on your PC.
From there, you can open it directly in Quicktime, or maybe in WMP depending on the file format.
