I like that the president is picking people who are fiscally moderate to conservative while keeping the social agenda liberal. The next best thing he can do is let these new appointees of his blast the pork out of the stimulus package (minus the environmental stuff. Hands off!) and then get some work done.

I thought Obama's election was a sorry commentary on the intelligence of the American electorate, but for Al Franken to be within reach of a senate seat if he can pull off a little Chicagoland style fraud a lot of voters must be dumber than I thought.

A better solution to fixing the healthcare problem is to get rid of all these outrageous lawsuits and liabilities that doctors are being held accountable for. Healthcare wouldn't be nearly so expensive if it weren't for all those idiotic judges awarding money like its the Powerball lottery. Another entitlement is the last thing this debt ridden government needs.
