mix up the type of sausage, the type of salsa, and the type of velveeta. i've never made it with the same stuff twice.

crock pot
2 boxes of cream cheese
2 pkgs of frozen chopped spinach
2 jalapenos
1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
1 cup sharp cheddar
pepper
paprika
and my secret ingredient (sorry, hehe)

thaw spinach, drain and set to side
sweat the chopped onion in a skillet
chop jalapenos
set crock pot to high
put jalapenos in crock pot
cube one pkg of cream cheese and put in CP
throw in half spinach & onions
season with pepper and paprika
cube other pkg of CC and put in CP
throw in remaining half of spinach
put in sharp cheddar
stir
set CP to low until all ingredients have melted and dip is hot

NRR, sounds about right.

Except we have no sausage, so I just used a button of cheese (mozarella, because I had lots; cheddar, and some store brand queso-velveeta)
+ salsa
+ some remaining 1/2 and 1/2 since I was using real cheese
+ red pepper flakes
+ tabasco
+ ginger


Except this was friday night, so not a superbowl dip. But I might make it later, and lay off the red pepper flakes And add bacon, since we got some yesterday.

^^THE SECRET INGREDIENT IS LOVE!

and mine is

layer of shredded cheese (your personal favorite) - 2 cups (you can cut this down if you don't like cheese, put a little more if you love cheese)
layer of chilli w/beans (you can buy chilli with meat if you like meat) - 1 can (or can equivalent if you make your own chilli)
layer of cream cheese - one bar

put in oven till cheese is gooey with some browning @ 450

we call it "Word Dip" where i'm from
