I used to keep it on all the time, and would exchange IM names with people instead of phone numbers, etc.

I have turned the program on once in the past 3 months I think.

almost daily - my whole family is on it and currently for the project i'm on one of our business partners uses it as their IM client

most of my friends that use an IM service now use gtalk exclusively - a few have aim still though

It's on gtalk now that I remembered the password. It can send IMs to my husband's cell without me having to think about it.

I rarely use it. Our school has our e-mail through google, so I used google chat a lot more.

It use to be so popular. I wonder if it is still as popular with teenagers, or if texting has just taken over?

most people I know all across the country switched to Yahoo years ago, its soooo much better... but for some reason everyone I met at State uses AIM

I do, though I don't talk on it as much as I used to.

I guess I kind of use it as an e-answering machine at home. It's usually signed onto both computers.
And it's almost habit to log onto AIM on my phone while at work. There's even a little AIM tab on the main screen :-/

i haven't use the aim client for about 5 years. i keep it on through gmail chat nowadays, but i probably have about 5 people who im me on there. most of which are probably from tww. all my pre-tww aim friends have long since abandoned aim. it's amazing the SUDDEN drop in aim usage amongst my friends that occurred when i graduated, considering how hooked everybody was to it at the time

Mine's still on all the time, but it rarely gets used. Most of the people that used to be on it regularly have abandoned it, I guess. Still, it occasionally provides something useful.
