wtf happened to playmakers. the new manager looks like he's never exercised a day in his life, which is ironic since he's running a fucking sports bar.anyway, funny story a few months ago, this fatass calls the cops on me and takes away my keys cuz he thinks i'm too drunk to drive home. i was about to offer him a blowjob as a joke, but then i realized that verbal is binding in the state of north carolina. drunk my ass. fuck that place. i only tipped the bartender the usual $1/beer because i thought that old bitch probably didn't have health insurance and was just a few years shy from qualifying for medicaid.anyway, fuck that place.

hah, very funny, Apocalypse.was hoping this thread would die, but...the cops were rookie cops, early-mid 20s. i volunteered to take a breathalyzer so i could drive home. they said they didn't have one, but even if they did have one, and even if i blew under .08, they said they'd still arrest me, for showing 'signs' of intoxication. now, i admit i was being a douchebag at the time, but i wasn't one when i first walked in there. i suppose the ends justify the means.i walked to the awfflehouse, asked everyone if they thought i was drunk. they say no, which they would have said anyway even if they thought i was drunk. never argue with a drunk. they're always right. i was told to drink a pitcher of coffee and get some food. the coffee only made me more alert and aware about how pissed off i was. the food, i just put it in a to-go box and walked around the darkest areas of campus, hoping some homeless bum would smell it and try to steal it from me. i wanted to fight someone, or something. or a system.i waited til the cops left the parking lot a few hrs later, went inside, apologized to the manager, asked him to call a taxi for me, he gave me my keys, i got in my car, drove home.

bttt for their consistently shitty foodto them, an order of sliders is a hamburger cut into four pieces with a pickle on top of the buni hope they go out of business real quick so a credible establishment can take over the waste of space currently occupying that building/rant

the cheapest thing on their menu is like 6 bucks for 2 corn dogs and fries. fuck that place.
4/14/2009 1:01:02 PM
i dont see why that place is even doing good, playmakers was a fucking shit fit, everytime i went inthere, the food sucks, the service is shitty, everyone is fuck gay, like ~ really gay, and the trim level sucks for being right across the street from a FEMALE SCHOOLno to mention all the carolina fans that gather there

I used to go to Playmakers all the time. That was years ago. I knew alot of the people working there and the drinks were fairly cheap and the food was pretty decent (for bar food). Since it has changed to "The Brickhouse", I've only been a couple times. Wasn't too impressed.

^^it doesn't seem to be doing so welli've been there for thursday night trivia a few times and they can't attract a decent-sized crowd, even if the Canes are playing at the same time as triviathe only reason the parking lot is ever full is because people use it as a park-and-ride for the RBC center

Playmakers was the shit when there were no waiters and you just got up to go get some food or a beer whenever you wanted one. The last time I went there regularly was during the 2006 NHL playoffs for just about every game. After they switched to waiters I've only been back a couple times.
