Hi all, I've been on a huge David Bowie kick lately so I decided to make a thread since all other bowie threads are dead.

Answer the following three questions:

1) Favorite Bowie period (i.e., 69-73, 74-76, 76-79, 80s, 90s)
2) Top five favorite Bowie albums
3) Top five favorite Bowie songs

Nice timing on this one, I've been listening to some Bowie lately too but I've only been a Greatest Hits guy... need some recommendations

oh and I'm Waiting For The Man is probably my favorite Bowie tune - even though I was not a fan of Almost Famous, at least it introduced me to that one

^^ If you're new to his work, I would definitely start with Ziggy Stardust, then go to Hunky Dory, then Low or Heroes

im a gigantic bowie fan, but i enjoy his entire catalogue (minus tin machine) too much to whittle it down like this.

i will say that 'david live' is tremendously underrated and one of my favorite live albums of all-time. the soulful versions of 'sweething - candidate," "aladdin sane" and "cracked actor" are just incredible.

Just picked up Diamond Dogs on vinyl. I've never listened to this one all that much, but I discovering that it's one of my favorites.

I've also been listening to later-era Bowie, and a couple songs that stand out are 'Seven' and 'Strangers when we meet'
