If anyone hasn't filed yet - don't use TurboTax if you plan on doing direct deposit. They say there COULD be up to a 2-3 day delay while YOUR bank processes the deposit. What they mean is that there WILL be a 3 day delay while THEIR bank HOLDS the deposit and sits on it. According to the SBBT representative I talked to, those are the standing instructions they have according to their agreement for handling turbotax refunds.

I wound up getting a little bit back from the People's Republic of NC, but due to the fact that the crooked bastards in Raleigh can't manage money and grab it from wherever they can, it looks like I'm giving them an interest free loan. I've been waiting for it for several weeks. The assholes should pay interest. Don't send them their money when they want it and see if they don't charge the hell out of you.

I tried using Turbotax and ended up $300 in the hole
then I did all my taxes manually and ended up $350 in the clear
of course I might have fucked up somewhere, but I found that Turbotax really couldn't handle the finer points of deductions n' shit

I filed it a good long while ago. I'm wondering what the holdup is. I didn't do direct deposit, which is probably the issue.
